I Love Living

This will be a happy post, because happy thoughts make a person feel good. I apologise if it’s boring for anyone, you don’t have to read it because it’s mainly for my benefit. I just want to cheer up a bit.

I love my husband. I love my children. I love my sisters and my brother. I love my parents. I love singing. I love dancing. I love reading. I love writing. I love learning. I love laughing. I love living.

There are many more things in my life that make me happy, but I’m going to leave to list there. Sometimes life is so overwhelmingly difficult that I forget the things that make me smile, and I forget that I do love living. Life sucks sometimes but there are beautiful moments too, and I think that I should try and remember that more often. It’s easy to get lost in the mess and the noise and the hurt. But in moments like this when I can be still and think about my life, I feel profoundly grateful. The sadness means I appreciate the happiness more. Life wouldn’t be life without a mixture of good and bad. If everything were good, we would take it for granted and be unhappy. I think it’s important to experience hard times so that it makes the good times precious.

I have anxiety and depression. I am recovering slowly. I am married and I have two beautiful children. I get sad and I get happy. But I love living.
